New Beer Drop: Forever Changes Vol. 4

Dropping Friday, January 6th: Forever Changes Haze Series Vol. 4 – Motueka + Galaxy (6.8% ABV).

Rick missed riffing with different hops, so we’re bring back our Forever Changes Haze Series with Vol. 4 – Motueka + Galaxy. The Motueka hops give flavors of fresh-crushed limes and punchy passionfruit. The citrus notes are then reverberated with Galaxy, which lend orange and peach aromas. All of this is laid on top of a fluffy, hazy base.

This rotating series will give us the opportunity to play with new-school and experimental hops with each volume having a two-hop mashup with echoing and contrasting flavors. The hazy IPA acts as the perfect canvas to showcase the new and exciting flavors and aromas. Look for a release every three months in 2023.

We've teamed up with Faction Brewing from Alameda, CA to celebrate our love of Mod music and all things hoppy with START! IPA. Double dry-hopped with Nelson & Riwaka hops, this beer boasts notes of passion fruit and fresh gooseberries. It finishes with hints of yuzu lemon, Sauvignon Blanc and a medium bitterness. Brewed with specialty pale malts and Golden Naked Oats for a smooth, bready malt character for balance.

Stereo's Jalapeño Cheddar Beer Bread

We’re bringing you the second-best way to use beer…bread! It uses our I AM NOT AFRAID OF YOU AND I WILL BEAT YOUR ASS JALAPENO PILSNER (or IANAOYAIWBYAJP for short, BYA for even shorter). This beer is a 2019 California Brewers Cup winner and has a distinct pepper aroma with a slight heat. It pairs perfectly with the addition of fresh pepper & cheddar to make a savory, morning/noon/night bread.

If you’re scared of baking bread, don’t be! This recipe is one of the easiest styles of bread to make. It’s hard to mess up, just don’t overmix! You want some carbonation left to give rise to the bread.

For ingredients, I recommend using high quality sharp to medium cheddar and shredding it yourself - it really makes a big difference. And I know it says bacon is optional…but is it?

Once you get a hang of making beer bread, you can experiment with your own pairings. Fresh herbs + Stereo pilsner or local honey + Tales of Brave Ulysses Scottish Ale! Show us what you make by tagging @stereobrewing

And a big thank you to my Aunt Sarah, baker extraordinaire, for helping us put this recipe together.
